A new piece of Nazi memorabilia being put up for auction reveals that not only was Adolf Hitler one of (if not the) worst people to ever live, he was also a really crappy employee!

Just four days after his new job as a junior administrator in the state of Brunswick made him an automatic German citizen (and thus eligible to run for office) Hitler did what is considered a major faux pas in the world of employment - immediately asked for vacation time! Why? He wanted to lead the Reich!

Most likely typed by hand (and riddled with misspellings) the note reads "I hereby request leave of absence to the end of the time for the selection of the next President of the Reich, Yours Faithfully, Adolf Hitler." The nerve! Granted however it was most likely a political appointment to begin with, his employment started just under the deadline for nominations for President of the Reich, but still - who does that?

He ended up losing that election - but winning the following year. And well, we all know the rest.

The note goes up for auction on June 2nd and is expected to rake in around £5,000.
